Vaser® Liposuction, MicroAIR® Liposuction
These are the benefits of the treatment:
- Outpatient or day clinic and painless surgery
- lasting successes
- Use of lymphatic vessel-friendly surgical technique
- highest medical safety
That happens before the procedure
In a detailed consultation, we discuss the possible intervention and I answer all the questions. We look at before / after pictures of my previous operations and discuss possible treatments.
That happens during the procedure
In the case of ambulatory lymphatic liposuction, the enlarged and increased fat cells are aspirated to restore the balance between lymphatic production and lymphatic transport and to improve the lipoedema. In tumescent local anesthesia, the fat pads are gently aspirated with a vibrating cannula. In some cases, VASER® technology is also used to gently remove fatty tissue. Removal of diseased adipose tissue helps relieve discomfort and improve movement restriction.
In most cases, an outpatient procedure is possible. As a rule, depending on the severity, 2-3 operations are necessary every 4 weeks (two operations on the legs, one on the arms). The surgical plan is adapted to each patient individually to obtain the best possible result. Siert during the procedure.
The procedure and the aftercare
The procedure of liposuction takes place in Vienna on a daily basis and in twilight sleep – also called sedoanalgesia.
Precision and safety throughout the procedure. I have over 13 years experience in plastic and aesthetic surgery and I am a specialist in body shaping. The well-rehearsed surgical team is complemented by experienced anesthesiologists who will look after you safely throughout the procedure. For the best results, you will receive compression underwear after surgery for 6 weeks.
You are able to socialize after about 1 week, able to work after 1-2 weeks, depending on the job. You should refrain from sports activities in the first 3-4 weeks and rest.
For possible pain you get the right medication, any swelling and redness disappear after a few days and weeks. The right scar treatment LINK is very important and ensures an improved, beautiful complexion. Light physical activity such as walking is possible and useful right after the operation. The puncture sites are not sutured, as thus a large part of the tumescent fluid can escape. Thus, possible swellings after a few days only minimal. After healing the small puncture sites (about 2 weeks) we recommend swimming, because the pressure under water increases the drainage effect. Shaking activities like running should be avoided in the first 3-4 months.
Tip: lymphatic drainage
In order to optimize lymphatic drainage, short-term but intensive conservative lymphological therapy should be performed immediately after surgery for approximately six weeks. These can either be obtained through our Cranio Sacral therapist (LINK Renate) or through your own physical therapist close to your home.
My team and I are always available for you should you have any questions. You can reach me after surgery at night always on my mobile number. Further follow-up appointments in my practice are important to optimally accompany the healing process and are agreed with you before the procedure.
