You are not alone. Weight fluctuations, hormonal fluctuations and breastfeeding cause many changes in the breasts. The fat cells enlarge and shrink. The skin mantle expands and is often no longer as firm. Long periods of breastfeeding can also lead to a reduction in breast gland tissue.

Since every breast and thus your change in shape and combination is individual, especially the treatment of a breast after pregnancy is a task that requires a lot of experience.
We analyse your breast together and plan, according to your ideas, how the breast should look after a procedure. This is how we define your personal, tailor-made treatment plan. We use an infrared camera to create a 3D scan of your breast. This allows us to plan each individual step and also show you a possible result. You can also access this scan at home or on the go on your smartphone and thus discuss a possible result with your loved ones. During the initial consultations we talk honestly about possibilities and also limits of what is possible. Possible risks – you have a lot of responsibility as you have children – are discussed in great detail. As a family man myself, I can very well understand fears of possible risks.
The initial consultation should already give you a lot of information about a possible intervention. In addition to special documents on the procedure, you will also be given access to your personal 3D scan. After some time to think about it, you can make a decision about the procedure. Another consultation is also possible. As soon as you have decided, you should find your preferred date with the team from the aesthetics. We currently operate every Monday at the Privatklinik Währing at Kreuzgasse 17-19 in 1180 Vienna.

Safety is even more of a priority for young mothers, as you take responsibility not only for yourself, but also for your own children. It is not uncommon for young mothers to be asked about the risks by their own family – in-laws, parents or friends – and to classify an operation as “already dangerous”.
Breast operations are basically not dangerous procedures. We minimise the risk of anaesthesia to almost zero, because our anaesthetists, who will then also perform the anaesthesia, personally carry out the so-called surgery release with you. This allows you to clarify any questions you may have and to get to know our anaesthetists in advance. This offer is almost unique in aesthetic medicine and gives you the necessary security to be relaxed on the day of the operation. A few weeks before the operation, we will schedule another appointment for you with Dr. Bartsch, where any open questions, the final decisions about the choice of implant and the written consent for the operation will be signed.
In principle, there are “round” and “anatomical” implants. With each shape again different heights of projections and then with each shape different firm silicone fillings. As you can see, the possibilities are almost limitless. If it is necessary to use additional fullness, the implant should in no case be wider than your natural breast base. Often there is enough of your own tissue and a breast lift or breast reduction and lift without an implant makes more sense.
In the week before the procedure, we will let you know at what time you should arrive at the Privatklinik Währing. This should be done some time before the procedure so that there is no additional unnecessary stress for you.

Before the operation, Dr Bartsch will photograph and mark the breast with you. Now everything is done and nothing stands in the way of the procedure you want.
Most breast operations do not require an overnight stay or possibly painful drains. We will plan an overnight stay at the clinic with you if you have a longer journey or simply need to rest for a night. In any case, a check-up on the day after the operation is fixed. Appointments for check-ups will be arranged with you in advance. Do not worry about pain. You will automatically be given the appropriate painkillers before, during and after the operation according to a pain regime that has been developed over 10 years.
Proper scar care is important.
If you are prone to increased scarring, we can treat this with laser and medical needling (cost € 90,- per session).
What is the big difference to operations abroad? The aftercare. All subsequent appointments are included in our prices. You do not have to expect any additional costs. Only professional care of the surgical wounds – also the weeks after the operation including removal of the sutures – guarantees the result you want.
